In between the hustle and bustle of the Christmas vacation, just relax and take out time for your family and loved ones. This time of the year is to make yourself free from all the worries and enjoy the Christmas. Try to do something different this year than the usual wrapping presents and drinking eggnog or ski. Attend one of these Christmas events around Harford and Cecil counties that will surely be merry and Christmas will be merrier. Hear the echoes of the season from the Edgewood Elementary School band, chorus and orchestra at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Edgewood library, 629 Edgewood Road.

A Christmas cantata will be presented at 3 p.m. on Saturday, as well as 11 a.m. Sunday, at Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, 101 S. Union Ave. Mark your presence here!
The halls will be decorated at Bel Air's historic Liriodendron mansion, 502 W. Gordon St. Artwork, craft tables, trains and holiday streamer will be on display at 7 p.m. Friday, 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Food and drink will also be served. Tickets are only $5 for adults, $3 for children. The gathering will be huge and fun would be unlimited.
The Veterans Affairs Maryland Health Care system is inviting visitors to the Perry Point VA Medical Center's Historic Mansion open house tour at 501 Fifth St. in the village housing area. The tour is free and is open to viewings 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Get a picture with Santa before he's off to the North Pole. The big guy will be at American Legion Susquehanna Post 135, 300 Cherry St. in Perryville, at 1 p.m. Sunday. There will also be presents and refreshments for all the good girls and boys.
