We liked the real thrust for bargains on this site but did find pages that were disappointing.

The selection of hotels away from major cities was quite poor – at some destinations there was just one hotel to choose from. Lastminutetravel.com tries hard to help customers refine their search for last minute deals, however, there is no getting away from the fact that other last minute sites had a greater variety of deals on tap.

The link to their Privacy Policy was broken at the time of this review but we did manage to glean that the site has TRUSTe endorsement and that customers can unsubscribe from their email list.

Are there online discounts and deals here? Does the site offer savings for returning customers? We graded the extra value you can get for your buck..

We like the fact that this site advertizes the discount applied to each deal clearly, whereas others tend to state a price for vacation ideas but do not clarify how much you are saving.

The disappointment about this site is that when trawling the Deals section we clicked for further details on several deals and were taken to a page stating ‘no deals were found’.

Some areas of the site also failed to meet the standards set by Dozenvacation’s Top Sites, for example the Travel Guides stick to main cities only and not the full range of travel destinations.  Hotel info is also minimal and doesn’t include customer reviews.

Overall there are some nice touches on this site but they’re not up with the big boys yet.
