Not a bad Idea
This site focuses on America and the Caribbean but does offer a wider choice of destinations including Africa and Europe. However, other sites had a more comprehensive list on offer.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

You can search by deals or destinations or look at categories such as spas, beach and romantic.

The navigation is OK but you need to click around a fair bit to find what you need.

The design of the site is good which deflects a little bit from the weak and slightly long-routed navigation.  A clear case of image over substance.

Why is it different to other vacation package sites? What features or tools make this site stand out. We graded on innovation..

We liked the informative travel articles on this site. It also has editors’ reviews and visitors’ comments which add interest and weight to the listings.

However, vacationideas.com needs to streamline its navigation and re-think its menus.  It should make it easier to find information and add filtering tools to speed up the customer experience.

The site is also purely editorial, which is great from an impartiality viewpoint but those wishing to make a booking might appreciate an easy link to find out costs for their dates, family size etc.

Are there online discounts and deals here? Does the site offer savings for returning customers? We graded the extra value you can get for your buck..

It was nice to see a page specifically for deals but this was very confusing to follow with titles such as ‘Vacation Packages’, ‘Vacation Deals Now’, ‘Travel Deals’,’ Travel Deals and Packages In…’

We were totally confused with the distinction between each category and unsure where to look for the cheapest options.

This part of the site defied logic and we missed the clear organization and filters that superior sites have to enable us to find the best deals to the places we want to travel to on the dates we are free. Put short, Vacationidea.com simply fails to deliver.
