Copenhagen offers the ultimate Scandinavian experience that visitors often look for. Like most of Denmark, Copenhagen has a charm of its own, and there are no many things to do here. Now, if you are a short trip of three to four days, we recommend that you try some of these things.

  • Head to Tivoli Gardens. Counted among the oldest amusement parks in the world, Tivoli Gardens offers numerous thrilling rides, and some of these are over a century old. The rollercoaster here is not to be missed.
  • Stay a hotel apartment. Now, this may seem vague, but you just cannot stay in a regular hotel in this city. Experience the beauty of luxury holiday accommodation Copenhagen, some of which can be found in Østerbro or Copenhagen East. If you are traveling in a group or with the family, consider a penthouse.

  • Go for a coffee at Nyhavn. Known as the historic waterfront area, Nyhavn is where you will find all the colorful buildings that have been standing tall since 17th and 18th Nyhavn harbor area is great place to consider a canal tour. The buildings here are home to some of the best coffee shops, cafés and restaurants, and we recommend that you make time for at least a coffee.
  • Enjoy the food. Nordic dining is internationally famed, and while there are plenty of high-end restaurants in the city, you can also find cheap options. Go to Torvehallerne street food market, where you can enjoy a brunch and even try buying a few seasonal ingredients, while Papirøen (Paper Island) is famed for evening stalls, which offer anything and everything from steaks to craft beer.
  • Cycling is a must. Copenhagen is one of the most cycle-friendly cities in the entire world, and there are over 370 kms of cycling lanes. The local here prefer to take the cycle in most cases, and they can be pretty aggressive. The good thing is you can always rent a cycle here to explore the nooks and corners of the city.
  • Check the museums and palaces. If you are new to the city, we recommend that you take the Copenhagen Card, which offers access to over 85 attractions. This includes access to the museums and canal tours, as well as, free use of public transport, including buses, harbor buses, metro and rail. A 3-day Copenhagen Card is probably enough on a short tour.

  • Don’t miss shopping at Strøget. Strøget is one of the largest pedestrian shopping malls in the world, and some of the biggest brands can be found here. We highly recommend that you consider going into the Old City, where you can find local shops, as well. Keep in mind that things can be expensive, but the whole crowd and experience is worth every penny spent.

No matter whether you want to stay at a luxurious hotel apartment or want to enjoy the food that this city is famous, Copenhagen is an ideal escape for the right reasons.
